Film Synopsis
Bong Joon Ho brings his work home to Korea in this pitch-black modern fairytale. Meet the Park Family: the picture of aspirational wealth. And the Kim Family, rich in street smarts but not much else. Be it chance or fate, these two houses are brought together and the Kims sense a golden opportunity. Masterminded by college-aged Ki-woo, the Kim children expediently install themselves as tutor and art therapist, to the Parks. Soon, a symbiotic relationship forms between the two families. The Kims provide "indispensable" luxury services while the Parks obliviously bankroll their entire household. When a parasitic interloper threatens the Kims' newfound comfort, a savage, underhanded battle for dominance breaks out, threatening to destroy the fragile ecosystem between the Kims and the Parks.

Parasite hits Blu-ray with a 1080p MPEG-AVC with a 1.35:1 aspect ratio. The film is colorful overall, but the color does change when it switches between the rich and poor areas. The picture has a high overall brightness which does cause some bloom in the bright areas.
Audio
Parasite hits Blu-ray with a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track. The movie has a lot of high energy moments where the surrounds are very well used but sadly, their are some issues with the dialogue being drowned out by the loudness of the mix.

Parasite -- Fantastic Fest 2019 Q&A with Director Bong Joon Ho: The director fields a couple of moderator questions, followed by audience interaction. In both English and Korean.
Overall Reaction
Unfortunately, there are some issues with the dialogue being drowned out by the loudness of the mix. Picture is overall a nice-looking video transfer. Parasite is an exceptional film that successfully shows the class divide between the characters. Overall I would recommend this film.
