Film Synopsis

Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham return to their unforgettable roles as Hobbs and Shaw in this action-packed feature from the blockbuster Fast & Furious franchise! For years, hulking lawman Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) and lawless outcast Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) have traded smack talk and body blows. But when cyber-genetically enhanced anarchist Brixton (Idris Elba) gains control of an insidious bio-threat that could alter humanity forever, Hobbs and Shaw must partner up to bring down the only guy who might be badder than themselves!

Universal presents Hobbs and Shaw on Ultra HD, which is comprised of a mix of 2.8K/3.4K sources, was rendered from a 2K DI and up-converted to 4K. The video presentation looks fantastic altogether and delivers a sharp, smooth and a well detailed presentation.

Audio

Hobbs & Shaw features a Dolby Atmos soundtrack that I found to be disappointing. I found that the front centered speaker was giving all the sound and there were times the surround channels weren’t used as much.  Being a big action movie I wanted more.

Overall Reaction

Overall, ‘Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw’ is an action-packed and over the top from start to finish in a good way.  The picture was suburb but the sound could have used more work.  The special features were a joy to watch.

I would recommend if you are a fan of the Fast and Furious fan.
