Film Synopsis

In the heart of an enchanted city, a commoner named Aladdin and his mischievous monkey Abu battle to save the free-spirited Princess Jasmine from the schemes of the evil sorcerer Jafar. Aladdin's whole life changes with one rub of a magic lamp as a fun-loving, shape-shifting Genie appears and grants him three wishes, setting him on an incredible journey of discovery.

Video

Aladdin soars onto the UHD format with a 2160p/HDR transfer.  The 4K presentation charms the screen with strikingly improved contrast and brightness balance from the Blu-Ray addition.  Colors are much more deep across the board. This presentation is a major improvement over the previous Blu-ray editions.

Audio

Disney's Dolby Atmos soundtrack for Aladdin clearly suffers from low reference level volume, typical of the studio's audio output of recent years.  Music is well rounded.  The surround channels are used to create a satisfying sense of environment.

The animated classic flies to Ultra HD with a beautifully magical 4K HDR10 presentation and a highly-satisfying Dolby Atmos soundtrack.   I would recommend this edition to your collection.
